Dial 1 for Dead Bird - Voxiva's HealthWatch solution featured in Wall Street Journal

Washington DC, August 17 2006 - The Wall Street Journal today reported how Voxiva is using cellphone technology to help the Indonesian government speed up the process for reporting suspected cases of Bird Flu. The article by Nicholas Zamiska entitled "Indonesia Goes Wireless to Overcome Delays in Bird-Flu Case Reports" appeared in the Technology section and focused on the deployment of Voxiva's HealthWatch solution in Indonesia. The H5N1 virus is a major cause of concern for the Indonesian government but current reporting methods can take weeks or even months. Voxiva HealthWatchTM leverages the countries cellular network which covers over 90% of the country's 220 million population, allowing agriculture field staff to report incidents instantly. Officials at the Ministry of Agriculture can see cases reported in real-time and then can follow the case from a suspect report to the results of subsequent laboratory testing allowing then to respond accordingly.
